Empowering Black Individuals Working in Corporate America

At Black Face White Space, we are committed to helping our black brothers and sisters improve their work conditions and other social aspects. We want to use our wide-reaching platforms to share our extensive knowledge with our fellowmen. By applying these lessons, they gain a better chance of succeeding in their career paths.

The Different Mediums We Use

Podcasting

Our podcast is where we talk about a wide variety of issues concerning black lives. Whether it’s about subverting work stereotypes or navigating through corporate America, we discuss topics that matter.

Blogging

We turn the valuable teachings from our podcast episodes and interviews into published articles on our blog. These informational posts are created so that readers can have a convenient means to learn the lessons we want to share.

Merchandising

This promotional strategy helps us maximize the reach of our exposure and reward our loyal audiences. By wearing our unique Black Face Brand apparel, readers and listeners alike can show their support to our company and what we strive to achieve.

Our Other Venture

The Black Face Brand includes a food service business called Black Face Catering. Through this endeavor, we prepare delicious Southern and soul meals for different events.

A Little Info About Us

How We Began

Our founder, Antwain Dawson, had some unpleasant experiences working in corporate America & dealing with executives, managers, and team members as a human resource professional in fortune 100 & 500 companies. He thought that the issues he was having was because he was working in the financial industry, and that maybe a newer & more “advanced” industry like technology would be different. He tried the tech industry and he quickly learned that being a black person in the corporate world entails having to follow a specific set of rules to succeed.

He became proficient at following these unwritten rules so that he could thrive at work, but in doing so, his mental health suffered. Out of frustration and a burst of creative freedom, he started Black Face White Space in January of 2020 to have an outlet for expression.

Our Founder

Antwain Dawson is an alumnus of one of the historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the country. He earned his undergraduate degree in communications and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management in the same academic institution.
